Queer Beats – May 13, 2022

Queer Beats with Nikki Header

Welcome back to Queer Beats, your weekly one-stop shop for queer television news. This week, so many shows got cancelled that I probably didn’t even cover them all.

Everyone can hold on to the joy that these pictures bring… before reading the rest of this week’s Queer Beats.

Hey, CW – We are done. OVER.

I’m still in denial about this but I will leave this here.

Unfortunately, this week’s Queer Beats is just gonna read as a long list of obituaries for many shows. Goodbye also to 4400, Charmed, Legacies, Naomi, In the Dark, Dynasty, and Roswell New Mexico.

First Kill

Meanwhile, I will admit that I am very excited to have a queer, fantasy, Romeo and Juliet-type show on Netflix soon.

Legends of Tomorrow

Legends gave us seven glorious seasons of amazing queer rep and it’s hard to say goodbye!

At least we have this comic to look forward to…

At this point, I don’t have anything left to say but *sigh*.

Only Murders in the Building

My interest in watching this show has suddenly PEAKED.

Saved by the Bell

Different network, same story.

On a better note, Westworld is almost back!

And maybe the addition of Ariana DeBose will add some queerness!

And that’s it for Queer Beats this week! Always thorough, always professional, never random.

About NikkiT

Nikki is an archivist by day, queer TV addict by night. Her first dive into fan content was when she ran a secret Xanga blog dedicated to pictures of Lorelai Gilmore in the 7th grade. She has never looked back.
