Queer Beats – October 29, 2021

Queer Beats with Nikki Header

Welcome back to Queer Beats, your weekly one-stop shop for queer television news! This week, Clone Club received new Cophine gifts and Legends of Tomorrow reached 100 episodes.

Batwoman

As a WildMoore fan…. *insert eyes emoji here*.

In bigger Batwoman news, you probably noticed some drama going down this week. Ruby Rose, who played Kate Kane in season one before leaving the show, revealed the truth about her exit.

Warner Bros. responded with the following statement:

The Flash

It’s that crossover time of year!

For All Mankind

Here for your weekly dose of queer cuteness, Abbi Jacobson and Jodi Balfour celebrated one year together.

Grey’s Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy cast it’s first non binary doctor (played by E.R. Fightmaster) and everyone is already shipping them with Amelia.

Home Economics

Home Economics got a full season order!

Legends of Tomorrow

This week was the Legends’ 100th episode and they brought back lots of friends to celebrate. Check out this behind-the-scenes video!

The Morning Show

Anyone else as obsessed with Bradley and Laura as I am? Julianna Margulies spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about playing a queer character. Also, it turns out that Reese Witherspoon knew Bradley was gay from season 1.

Orphan Black

Do you know how much joy I get when I can include Orphan Black in a Queer Beats post? A LOT. This week, we are gearing up for the return of Orphan Black: The Next Chapter… this time, with Evelyne Brochu!

And Tatiana Maslany joined Entertainment Weekly for an interview. She even dropped a little Cophine announcement!

Supergirl

Azie Tesfai is joining A Million Little Things. And, trust me, it did not get past me that this technically means Alex Danvers‘ current girlfriend will be on the same show as Alex’s ex (aka Floriana Lima, who played Maggie and is now on A Million Little Things).

Speaking of Azie, she posted a cool transformation video of her transition into superhero!

Y: The Last Man

Unfortunately, Y: The Last Man is the newest show to be cancelled by FX.

And that’s it for Queer Beats this week! Always thorough, always professional, never random.
