Welcome to The Queerest Things I Watched Last Week where every Monday I list out my queer TV watching highlights of the past week.
- Supergirl – Season 3 Episode 4 “The Faithful” [Live]
I’m really surprised we’re seeing Alex and Maggie in bed together so much this season. I thought the CW was too timid to go there with Supergirl, but here we are again.
I don’t know how they are going to go from this to breakup in one episode. And, Alex, I have a cure for your baby angst. Watch me pick lice eggs out of my kid’s hair, that’ll turn your biological clock off. #truestory
- American Horror Story: Cult Season 7 Episode 9 “Drink the Kool-Aid” [Live]
My wife Mia and I call this season of AHS “Sarah Paulson Screaming.” On this episode of Sarah Paulson Screaming the dyke drama comes to a head when the 3 queer women have a throw-down.
The head shake for emphasis is a beautiful thing.
As Ally (Sarah Paulson) goes from a weepy, anxiety-ridden mess to a bad-ass she’s doing less screaming and more yelling. She’s also using more eye liner, maybe that’s where her powers come from.
And alas, we have TV’s latest dead lesbian.
RIP, Ivy. I guess it doesn’t pay to join a cult and conspire with the Nanny you’re having an affair with to drive your wife insane.
- Ellen DeGeneres Show – Season 15 Episode 40 [Live]
Watch Sarah Paulson actually screaming her way through an American Horror Story-Themed Haunted House. It’s pretty hilarious.
- Queen Sugar – Season 1 Episode 10 “So Far” [Binge-Watch]
Nova and Chantal break up. Womp womp. Chantal doesn’t do separating personal from the political.
- Legends of Tomorrow – Season 2 Episode 1 “Out of Time” [Binge-Watch]
Up until several months ago, the only Arrowverse show I watched was Supergirl. I took on the project of watching all of them, from the beginning, in the order that they aired. Yesterday I made it to Legends of Tomorrow season 2 where Sara Lance rolls around with the Queen of France.
What a great job, saving the world and making out with ladies throughout time.
- Steven Universe – New Episodes Video [Twitter]
Last week Peridot “took over” the Cartoon Network Twitter account and collaborated with the Cartoon Network PR Twitter account to announce new episodes are coming on November 10! They released a preview video to go with it.
There are things that are impossible for me to explain, but I want to. -Pearl
If Pearl is being intense, it probably has something to do with Rose.
- Will & Grace – Season 9 Episode 4 “Grandpa Jack” [Catchup-Watch]
Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells play counselors at a “Pray Away the Gay” conversion camp and it is hilarious.
- Grey’s Anatomy – Season 14 Episode 6 “Come On Down to My Boat, Baby” [Live]
So Arizona broke up with hot Italian girl, because her kid is coming back?? The way Calzona’s kid has played out on Grey’s has always bugged me. But really, nothing on Grey’s makes any real life sense.
Can’t you have the kid living at your house and keep having sex with the Italian orgasm scientist? No, because as soon as TV queer women have kids in their life they become BORING.
Also, I applaud Grey’s for consistently delivering the bi rep, but did Carina really have to hook up with Owen? Yuck, he’s such an annoying bowl of oatmeal.
- Jane the
VirginSister Bear – Season 4 Episode 4 “Chapter Sixty-Eight” [Live]Uh oh, it looks like Luisa is so intent on helping Rose escape prison she going to burn down the Marbella for the insurance money.
I wonder what is going to happen to her, and her imaginary friend, this week.
That’s it for last week. What will this week bring in Queer TV…we shall see.
