Welcome back to Queer Beats, your weekly one-stop shop for queer television news! This week, the CW released new trailers, Indya Moore continued to be inspiring, and Orphan Black returned in a new audio series.
Amar A Muerte
The Juliantina fandom is still going strong and continues to get all the content they deserve:
Batwoman
Meanwhile, Batwoman fans finally got the trailer we deserve:
Now that we are less than a month away from the premiere, the media coverage is ramping up and delivered these two Ruby Rose interviews this week:
Black Lightning
Chantal is heading back to the Black Lightning set! Always good news for us ThunderGrace stans.
Carmilla
This week, Elise reminded us all to get our CarmillaCon tickets before the convention next month:
Legacies
A new Legacies trailer has finally been released. The show will be back October 10th!
Lucifer
As usual, this isn’t necessarily news, but I felt like we all deserved to see it:
Orphan Black
OKAY EVERYONE! There’s a pretty big chance y’all are tired of hearing me scream about this but, unfortunately, it’s not possible for me to stop. The first episode of the Orphan Black: The Next Chapter audio series was released this week and hearing all the clones’ voices again was truly music to my ears. Tatiana Maslany continues to prove how talented she is and we were showered with all the OB-related articles this week:
Person of Interest
Amy Acker will be at Comic Con Paris next month!
Pose
Indya Moore continued to inspire us all this week.
Indya wore images of murdered trans women on their earrings at an event this week. They continue to speak out against the treatment of trans women of color across the country and are willing to bring attention to the issue at all costs.
Riverdale
In the most shocking news of the week, it was announced that Mishel Prada will be joining Riverdale! This is both a win and a loss for me because I quit Riverdale but I am always happy to have more Mishel content. So I guess I am going back to the show! Although, I wish she could visit the show as Emma just to yell at everyone.
Runaways
Considering this is from the last day of filming, this will probably be our first and only Deanoru behind-the-scenes content, but it’s still exciting!
Supergirl
I don’t usually cover Supercorp news here because it’s not canon (yet), but this card from Katie to some Supercorp fans was pretty cute:
And that’s it for Queer Beats this week! Always thorough, always professional, never random.
