Queer Beats – December 17, 2021

Queer Beats with Nikki Header

Welcome back to Queer Beats, your weekly one-stop shop for queer television news! I am a few weeks behind so let’s jump right into it. This week, Villanelle is an angel, Sue Dickinson can only think about one thing, and the Listers are caught in a bad romance.

As Love Goes

Germana Belo, the creator of RED, and Nicole Pacent are raising money to start a new web series! Click the link above to help fund the project, if you are able.

Batwoman

I have been absolutely loving Nicole Kang’s Poison Ivy, but I also can’t wait to see Bridget Regan‘s version.

Diary of a Future President

Unfortunately, Diary of a Future President is just one of many shows that got cancellations this month.

Dickinson

I’m obsessed with this show and even more obsessed with Ella Hunt‘s commentary on the show.

Every Time A Bell Rings

First, Ali Liebert gave us a queer character in a Christmas movie that actually GETS THE GIRL, and now she’s sharing her super cute irl relationship with us. What could be better?

Also, the internet sucks sometimes but Ali Liebert is still the best.

Gentleman Jack

Are you missing them as much as I am?

Kevin Can F**K Himself

AMC cancelled Kevin Can F**k Himself which means I have to say goodbye to the one show to ever be set in Worcester, MA.

Killing Eve

A new look at the final season of Killing Eve, which will be premiering on February 27!

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Season 4 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will also be dropping in February.

Supergirl

Bonus Alex Danvers content! She shows up in the Flash crossovers and Chyler talked about what it was like to work with the Super Friends.

Vida

Ok, don’t get your hopes up because this movie isn’t queer (I think). But, watching Mishel Prada in anything always feels queer to me so I wanted to add it in to this week’s post.

And that’s it for Queer Beats this week! Always thorough, always professional, never random.

About NikkiT

Nikki is an archivist by day, queer TV addict by night. Her first dive into fan content was when she ran a secret Xanga blog dedicated to pictures of Lorelai Gilmore in the 7th grade. She has never looked back.
