Welcome back to Queer Beats, your weekly one-stop shop for queer television news! This week, we received news about multiple crossovers, The OA was cancelled, and The L Word reboot hit the TCAs.
Batwoman
We are inching closer to the Batwoman premiere (yay) so we are slowly getting more content.
We also got further confirmation that Kate will be openly gay and will also be Jewish (as in the comics)!
The Bold Type
Freeform was honored in Variety’s “Power of Young Hollywood” issue and some of favorite actors from The Bold Type and Grown-ish were featured:
Black Lightning
We finally got confirmation that Black Lightning will be included in the next crossover:
The show has started filming again which means set selfies!
Euphoria
The fandom has fallen head over heels for Rue and Jules and, personally, I have also fell head over heels for Zendaya and Hunter.
The L Word: Generation Q
Excited for The L Word reboot? Cast and crew were at the TCAs this week to talk more about where the new show is headed.
The OA
The OA was cancelled this week and fans were not happy with Netflix (as usual):
Orphan Black
My favorite topic: Orphan Black! EW released a preview of the new audio series and just hearing Tatiana Maslany‘s voice again was enough to make me cry tears of joy.
Runaways
The Runaways cast announced a crossover with Cloak and Dagger in the next season!
Stranger Things
Maya Hawke spoke with Huffington Post about the process leading into Robin‘s coming out:
Supergirl
The fact that these women are this beautiful isn’t news but seeing these pictures affected me as if it was!
And that’s it for Queer Beats this week! Always thorough, always professional, never random.
