Welcome back to Queer Beats, your weekly one-stop shop for queer television news! This week, we finished out 2020 with news of a second season of The Wilds and some fandom-related holiday content.
Happy new year to all my Queer Beats readers! 2020 has been a tough year. On top of all the completely life-altering events of the world, it was made even harder by the fact that we couldn’t gather with our fandom friends as usual. But, as always, I am grateful for my online fandom community who helped me through. Here’s to a better 2021, full of peace, health, and many cons!
Batwoman
Javicia Leslie visited herself on a billboard and it was very cute:
Also, here’s another sneak peek at the new season of Batwoman!
Black Lightning
Nafessa Williams for Playboy!
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
I don’t have any real B99 news to report on but Stephanie Beatriz posted this cute edited movie trailer for Rosa and it made me miss her.
Feel Good
Season 2 of Feel Good is already wrapped which means we are one step closer to getting to watch it!
Haunting of Bly Manor
Sadly, there are apparently no current plans for another Haunting series.
Her Story
Jen Richards got married and, yet again, I am absolutely obsessed with the wedding pictures.
Motherland: Fort Salem
In case I wasn’t already completely in love with these two…
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
Noelle‘s drawings of Catradora are very important to me.
The Umbrella Academy
Elliot Page thanked everyone for their support after he came out as trans earlier this month!
The Wilds
Amazon Prime’s newest hit show, The Wilds, is officially coming back for a season 2!
Also, the cast is giving us some extra queerness. Shannon Berry (who plays Dot) let Twitter know that she’s queer:
And Mia Healey hinted at her own identity:
And that’s it for Queer Beats this week! Always thorough, always professional, never random.
