Welcome back to Queer Beats, your weekly one-stop shop for queer television news! This week, Tatiana Maslany blessed us with her voice and dancing… and we are sooo proud/happy/grateful for Dominique Provost-Chalkley!
Batwoman
I want Kate and her sister to be friends so bad that I am now obsessed with pictures of Ruby Rose and Rachel Skarsten in-character together.
You know what else I’m obsessed with? Pictures of Sophie.
Also, pictures of Meagan Tandy as herself.
The Bold Type
A new Nikohl Boosheri interview came out this week!
Hightown
Monica Raymund announced the premiere date for Hightown, a very queer series that has been in production for many years and that WE JUST WANT TO WATCH ALREADY!
Killing Eve
After confusing us last week, we finally have our answer: Killing Eve is coming back two weeks early!
Merry Happy Whatever
Merry Happy Whatever was cancelled by Netflix. I can’t say I’m surprised but I am sad because I really enjoyed the queer storyline!
One Day At A Time
ODAAT came back this week and the cast was just as excited as we were!
Orphan Black
What is better than new Tatiana Maslany content? I’ll tell you: NOTHING! Check out Serial Box for some recorded tapings of her reading books and answering questions.
Also, on things-that-made-me-cry-this-week:
Riverdale
It was Vanessa Morgan‘s birthday and Madelaine Petsch sent her best wishes:
She-Ra
She-Ra is returning on May 15! How about we all just pretend for now that this isn’t the final season…
Supergirl
It’s always a good day when Chyler Leigh posts on Instagram!
Also, I love our queer Supergirl power trio:
And if you want more Nicole Maines content…
Wynonna Earp
Looking back, this was a good week for queer tv content. But nothing beats Dominique Provost-Chalkey‘s birthday gift to herself: coming out! I think we are all equally proud of her and thankful that she felt comfortable enough to open up to the fandom. I’m super grateful that two such lovely actors represent our beloved WayHaught. I can’t wait for Waverly Earp to be back on my TV screen!
You can find her full statement on the new Start The Wave website.
Emily Andras is just as proud as the rest of us:
And that’s it for Queer Beats this week! Always thorough, always professional, never random.
